Shelter for historic zones in Warsaw

Design of (so-called “conservator”) shelter was developed as part of the project related to the street furniture for Krakowskie Przedmieście. The use of this solution was later on extended to other parts of the city that have historic character. For the purposes of new locations, an entire range of shelters was designed, following the same design and expression rules.

The shelter is minimalistic and its goal is to be “invisible” when surrounded by historic architecture. It has an original structure supported on a single flat steel frame with glass roof and side covers on the supports. This type of shelter was included in the catalogue of Warsaw street furniture.
